Excerpt of the press release by the "Kleefeld Klangfeld" team about their project which is presented at 'ohrenhoch':
 

"This exhibition (...) shows work produced in the context of the ‘Kunst am Bau’ project Kleefeld Klangfeld, commission by the city of Bern, Switzerland, for the new replacement building of the primary school Bern Kleefeld.

For this ‘Kunst am Bau’ commission, rather than producing sculptural objects to be placed within the new build, David Mollin and Salomé Voegelin decided to work with the mobile and invisible dimension of sound to bring a different awareness to the site as architecture and as educational context. (...)

For the first two years of the project, between 2022 and 2024, they commissioned Jan Schacher and Antye Greie-Ripatti (AGF), to work with the school environment and the children. This exhibition at ohrenhoch presents work generated from their respective residencies. It plays sound arts compositions made by the artists from their visits and shows their sketches of sound pedagogical workshopping and interventions with pupils and teachers from years 4 and 5, which invite listening, discussion and re-making, to explore and test how sound can feature as art and within an educational context."

Auszug aus dem Pressetext des "Kleefeld Klangfeld"-Teams über ihr Projekt, das im 'ohrenhoch' präsentiert wird:
 

"Diese Ausstellung (...) zeigt Arbeiten, die im Rahmen des „Kunst am Bau“-Projekts „Kleefeld Klangfeld“ enstanden sind – ein „Kunst am Bau“-Projekt im Auftrag der Stadt Bern, Schweiz, für den Ersatzneubau der Grundschule Kleefeld.

David Mollin und Salomé Voegelin beschlossen, keine skulpturalen Objekte zu schaffen, sondern mit der mobilen und unsichtbaren Dimension des Klangs zu arbeiten, um dem Ort als Architektur und als Bildungskontext ein anderes Bewusstsein zu verleihen. (...)

Für die ersten beiden Jahre des Projekts, zwischen 2022 und 2024, beauftragten sie Jan Schacher und Antye Greie-Ripatti (AGF), mit dem schulischen Umfeld und den Kindern zu arbeiten. Die Ausstellung im ohrenhoch zeigt Arbeiten, die während der jeweiligen Aufenthalte im Kleefeld entstanden sind. Zu hören sind Klangkunstkompositionen, die AGF und Jan Schacher während ihrer Besuche geschaffen haben, sowie ihre Skizzen für klangpädagogische Workshops und Interventionen mit Schüler*innen und Lehrer*innen der Klassen 4 / 5. Diese laden zum Zuhören, zur Diskussion und Neukonzeption ein; um zu erforschen und testen, wie Klang als Kunst und in einem pädagogischen Kontext eingesetzt werden kann."
